The Tree Labeller

This service is for those who require minimal involvement in the labelling of their trees to the highest standard. It is ideal for most schools and businesses.

A few things to note:

On the day of our visit,  we only need access to the outdoor areas.

​

We aim to first identify the different species of trees on your site, then affix the labels on the same day. We typically focus on labelling each new species of tree, but if, for example, two oak trees are located far apart, we will label both. Special consideration is given to labelling notable, veteran, ancient, and champion trees, as identified by The Woodland Trust. We will also assess the risk and safety aspects of positioning labels on trees in areas that may pose a hazard if someone stops to read them.

Once we have compiled a list of trees to label, we stay on-site and use our mobile engraving service to create the tree labels. We are the only mobile service offering this, meaning you can have your trees expertly labelled in just one day. We prefer to use engraved slate because it is long-lasting and suits all settings. However, if you would like acrylic engraved labels, please let us know.

The materials we use are of the highest quality and fade-resistant. Over time, as a tree grows, the nail fixing the label to its washer can be gently loosened to accommodate the tree’s growth. Most older trees, depending on their growth phase, require no adjustment at all.
